Strategy, values and objectives
The strategy and values of the Finnish Supervisory Agency will be formulated once the Agency's work has been launched. Preparations for the Agency’s work were based on the objectives set out in the government proposal on the Act on the Finnish Supervisory Agency.
The work on the Finnish Supervisory Agency's strategy and values will begin in 2026 once the Agency’s management have started in their roles. The work on the strategy and values will be guided by the objectives set for the Finnish Supervisory Agency in the government proposal.
The Finnish Supervisory Agency’s objectives are
- to provide uniform and high-impact services throughout Finland
- to provide a more equal and efficient service of a higher quality to citizens, businesses and our other customers
- to ensure that permit and supervisory activities are streamlined and accessible while addressing customer needs
- to improve the quality and impact of services and ensure that our operating models support equality.
How do we carry out our work?
Our practices are national and consistent
The Finnish Supervisory Agency operates nationally. Our national competence will ensure smooth and uniform practices across Finland, while we also have a presence in the regions. We draw on regional knowledge and interact with the central government, municipalities, wellbeing services counties, businesses and civic actors. We also ensure that linguistic rights are realised in everything we do.
We put the customer at the centre
We offer customer-centric official services that are smooth and straightforward to use. We also make sure that our services are accessible in all areas of Finland and in different situations. While we invest in easy-to-use e-services, we also offer smooth channels for those who are unable to use digital services.
We work efficiently and with a high impact
Our work supports the functioning of society and people’s everyday lives. We organise our tasks with the aim of enhancing impact and efficiency from the perspective of both official services and society. We make it possible to develop effective practices that cross sectoral boundaries.
We ensure good personnel policy
We will build a shared operating culture in which multi-sectoral expertise, cooperation and good daily life in the workplace go hand in hand. Our activities are based on customer centricity, openness and continuous development. We are competent and capable of renewal, and we engage in cooperation. Our aim is a work community in which everyone can have a say.
