Organisation and management
The Finnish Supervisory Agency's organisation consists of six different departments and one operating unit. The Agency is led by its Director General.
The Finnish Supervisory Agency employs approx. 2,000 people. The personnel are placed in the Agency’s departments and operating unit, which are
- Department of Healthcare and Social Welfare
- Department of Early Childhood Education and Care, Education and Culture
- Department of the Environment
- Department of Occupational Safety and Health
- Department of Rescue Services and Preparedness
- General Services Department
- Business Supervision and Legal Protection unit.
The Finnish Adoption Board and the National Committee on Medical Research Ethics Tukija also operate as independent authorities in conjunction with the Finnish Supervisory Agency.
The Finnish Supervisory Agency is led by its Director General. The Departments and operating unit are headed by their Directors.
The Finnish Supervisory Agency has an Executive Group that supports the Director General in managing the Agency. The Executive Group consists of the Director General, departmental and operating unit directors, director of the Communications Unit and other persons appointed by the Director General.
